Caesar’s Palace release details of Caesar’s Wembley
Caesar’s Palace have revealed details of the casino and entertainment complex they are planning to develop in London’s Wembley area. Information released so far reveals that the plans include developing a casino, a hotel with 400 rooms, restaurants, bars, a swimming pool, spa and designer shops. The huge company which already owns 28 properties, is developing the large scale venue in partnership with Quintain Estates and Development- the company responsible for the overall overhaul and regeneration of the famous Wembley Arena.
The venture is still subject to planning permission, and the reform of the UK gambling laws. The deregulation of the current gambling laws is expected to be passed next year. Once this has taken place and the planning permission received, the building of the complex will commence in 2005. The total estimated investment in order to build the casino and surrounding attractions is £334 million, with Caesar’s and Quintain inputing 50 percent each.
The venue will be named Caesars Wembley, and will host 135 gaming tables and 1250 slot machines. If the building goes ahead as planned the venue should open in 2008. Chief Exec Wallace Barr, said the venue should prove to be a success with tourists and explained his reasons for choosing Wembley as a location: 'Wembley promises to become one of Europe's top new leisure destinations. With that in mind, Wembley is a natural location for our first European casino project.'
