eWorld Appoints Pan For Chinese Lottery Expansion

eWorld Interactive Inc, a second-generation media and entertainment portal for China and other Asian markets, has announced the appointment of James Pan to the post of Divisional Manager for its Chinese Lottery Management Team.

The company stated that Pan would assume executive responsibility immediately for its Lottery Management Team’s sales and marketing activities including business development initiatives with leading online lottery operators with the aim of developing content distribution rights for an online version of China's Welfare And Sports Lottery. This would provide eWorld users access to professional lottery gaming throughout Asia’s online marketplace.

'The addition of James Pan and his team will accelerate our ability to source and aggregate lottery and gaming content and this is well suited for our user base as it creates additional avenues for entertainment, participation and the potential of winning real returns,” Said Guy Peckham, Chief Executive Officer for eWorld.

“The growth rates for lotteries, online gaming and Internet advertising in China are each noteworthy in their own right and we believe that it will result in explosive growth for eWorld through the combination of all three components.'

According to China’s Ministry of Finance, national lottery sales last year increased by 14 percent to a record high of $10.54 billion with the Welfare And Sports Lottery accounting for around $4.37 billion of this. However, only one percent of the giant nation’s total lottery market is derived from online offerings with the Government keen to promote its official Internet lotteries, opening up a huge potential market.
