Left your Christmas shopping until the last minute? Don’t worry, so have the rest of us. As well as earning the usual tournament points that contribute to the Betfair MTT Leaderboard, players will also earn Xmas Present (XP) Points in a select number of tournaments. The top 100 players at the end of the Leaderboard will win shopping vouchers up to the value of $1,500 on top of all the money they've already won in the tournaments.
Another interesting competition which Betfair have come up with is the Xmas Pudding tournament, which will be paying out $300 to the first person out of the tournament, as well as to the player who finishes on the bubble. Lots of action on the first hand in that one, we suspect…
Over the month of December, Betfair will be having over $500,000 in guaranteed prizes, including the chance to win both seats in next year's WSOP and WSOPE in the same satellite, a package worth $40,000.
