Lottery couple enjoy expensive Christmas
A Bradford couple who were made millionaires when they scooped a £1.6 million lottery jackpot are expecting to enjoy new cars and designer watches this Christmas.
Santa is set to bring Janette Wright, 42, and her husband, Stephen who have four children, a new Honda Civic and a Breitling watch, according to reports from the Bradford Telegraph and Argus.
"This Christmas we have bought each other gifts that we would never have dreamed of before the win, and we both feel extremely spoilt," said Mrs Wright.
But the couple have also made a donation to Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield after family members spent some time in the hospice in the past.
Mrs Wright said: "We can afford to support them so have made a donation to assist with all the hard work and care they provide."
The lucky dip ticket netted the couple £1,633,505 in June and allowed them to buy a house as well as a holiday.
Both have packed in their jobs: Mr Wright, 49, was a self-employed painter and decorator while his wife was a housing officer.
