Online Poker Software Goes Terminal
Online backgammon site BackgammonMaster.com has announced a deal with London-based software developer Betting Terminal Inc that will see poker software it developed being used on betting terminals in a diversity of land locations.
BackgammonMaster.com stated that the agreement involves integrating its Texas hold ‘em poker game software into game terminals that are scattered throughout the world.
The first pilot is to be launched in Croatia in 100 betting terminals located in coffee shops, bars and other entertainment venues. The integrated machines will include multiplayer Texas hold ‘em poker and other casino games accessed from BackgammonMasters.com’s games lobby installed on the terminals.
BackgammonMaster.com stated that the system is a remote access server-based application hosted and controlled by a remote access unit to process prepaid cards, the first global release of its multiplayer Texas hold ‘em poker game application.
The site stated that there are two modes that players can select from, private or public play, with other multi-table games planned for the future once the poker game application is finalised.
BackgammonMaster.com said that players would be able to open an account or log in to an existing account and access all of their account information using a touchscreen on the terminals. Players will be able to use a prepaid platform and several other methods of transaction, just like at their home computers, only now with the option of swiping a credit card for instant recognition.
The deal will also see a new land-based remote access support application developed by Betting Terminal aid all 100 terminals simultaneously. Support operators are to assist players with any issues they may have including use of the terminal and its software.
