Scottish registered gaming company, Sportech Plc, has reported favorable results in the six months to June 30th, seeing turnover rise to £254.5 million from £157.8 million for the previous year, which the company said reflected ‘significant growth in internet casino products’.
While its betting business, including Littlewoods.com and BetDirect, are performing strongly the company reported that results were marginally down from last year in horseracing and Football Pools.
Managing director, George Rushton, said the group has now ‘established a comprehensive betting and gaming service across the new direct channels, including ITV, providing future growth opportunities for both Soft Gaming and
Betting. We look forward to the full launch and marketing of the ITV interactive service, in conjunction with ITV, next month. We continue to invest to establish a broad-based interactive gaming platform.’
