Interactive Bingo To Be Developed
Canadian online bingo developer Parlay Entertainment has announced a deal with interactive television group NetPlayTV to further develop its Big Box Bingo television programme.
The multi-phase plan will see Parlay develop an online bingo solution to allow fans of the television show to play additional bingo games and a host of slot games online. Additional phases are to include mobile telephone integration, television streaming and the integration of Parlay's back-end software to power the televised bingo game.
Big Box Bingo launched last year as the UK's first live interactive television games show. Airing weekly on Sky, it allows viewers to play along with an interactive bingo game using cards purchased at BigBoxBingo.com.
'Our formula of a quality live television show, big prizes and the ability to mark real bingo cards at home has already proven to be a winning combination,' said Martin Higginson, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for NetPlayTV.
'By combining the flexibility of the Internet with the trusted medium of television we've created a potent new gaming product that players really love.
'It is a natural progression to extend the offering online, allowing our customers to play bingo and other online games any time they please. Our partnership with Parlay will harness the power of Parlay software as well as Parlay's considerable experience in the online bingo space. This is the next step in our mission to offer a truly converged gaming experience.'
'Big Box Bingo is one of the most exciting bingo games we've ever seen,' said Steve Cook, European Managing Director for Parlay.
'We're pleased that NetPlayTV has chosen us to help them further develop the interactive features of the show including mobile phone and further web integration.'
