Casino mugging gang arrested
Five London men have been arrested in relation to a spate of muggings on casino-goers late last year.
Following early morning raids at properties in Notting Hill, Harlesden, Palmers Green and Ealing in London, five men were arrested as suspects.
A pair of men from Ealing were arrested by the Met's Territorial Policing Crime Squad, as part of Operation Portias.
The operation was put into place after three people leaving casinos with their winnings were mugged on September 2nd and October 1st last year.
At a W5 address, one 32-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery and money laundering and another was detained on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, thought to be CS spray.
Three other men were also arrested and they are all being questioned at a London police station.
No other details have been released about the men other than they are aged between 29 and 37.
