ICE Expands Global Reach
Show organisers Clarion Gaming announced that London’s International Casino Exhibition (ICE) saw almost 20,000 visitors for the eighth consecutive year of attendance growth.
Held last month at Earls Court Exhibition Centre, ICE saw 10,111 unique visitors and a further 2,861 from the co-located International Casino Exhibition Interactive (ICEi) remote gaming show for a total of 12,972, an annual growth of 7.9 per cent. A further 6,960 buyers visited ICE from the co-located Amusement Trades Exhibition International (ATEI) soft gaming expo for a gross attendance of 19,932.
Visitors represented no fewer than 115 national territories, five more than the previous year, and this number rises to 127 territories when ATEI crossover visitors are factored in. In addition, the Marshall Islands, Nicaragua, Rwanda, Tuvalu and the US Minor Outlying Islands were represented for the first time.
International and UK-based visitor levels both grew with the non-UK contingent up 1.5 per cent to 7,337 while domestic visitor numbers rose 18.2 per cent to 5,526. The number of buyers from the Far East and South East Asia grew the most, up 18.8 per cent year-on-year from 231 to 284, while visitor numbers from the Middle East and North Africa increased by 11.2 per cent to 198. Those from continental Europe and Russia rose 2.4 per cent to 5,663 while Southern and Central Africa saw a rise of 1.5 per cent to 134.
“ICE and ICEi continue to demonstrate their huge appeal to operators from every jurisdiction in the world, whether land, cruise or remotely-based,” said Karen Cooke, Head of Exhibitions for Clarion Gaming.
“Much of the credit for the attractive powers of the show must go to the exhibitors who year-on-year continue to surpass themselves in the depth and breadth of their innovative displays.”
