San Francisco-based Hands-On Mobile’s World Poker Tour (WPT) Texas Hold'em 2 mobile poker game was recognised in two categories at the recent AT&T Best of 2007 Awards.
The mobile games developer won the Best Card/Casino Game prize along with the Best Multiplayer Game gong after its WPT game was also recognised last year with a silver prize in Gambling Online Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards.
Hands-On stated that more than twelve million hands have been dealt to 140,000 unique users since the game’s launch with the longest continuous gameplay session lasting 13 hours.
“Today’s poker enthusiast is constantly looking for new ways to connect with the game, whether they’re at home, on the go or sitting at the final table in the world’s biggest tournament,” said Steve Lipscomb, President and Chief Executive Officer for WPT Enterprises.
“Our partnership with Hands-On Mobile has allowed us to extend our brand across multiple platforms and bring together new fans everyday.”
WPT Texas Hold'em 2 can be played on mobile telephones and laptop computers and allows players to compete live with others at public tables or create their own private areas to play with friends and family. The game is available through all major networks and on most mobile telephones worldwide including RIM and Windows Mobile devices.
