Speed demon alert at US casino
Poker fans have the chance to pretend to be a top racing driver while they consider their next gamble as one US casino has installed a racing car in the middle of the gaming floor.
At Chinook Winds Casino Resort, in Lincoln City, the owners have installed a simulator of Jeff Gordon's No. 1 Pepsi Nascar vehicle.
The full-size simulator is the next best thing to being on the real track and drivers can reach virtual speeds of 200mph.
"There are actual gyrations, and it pulls you around the corner," Heather Hatton, a spokeswoman for Chinook Winds Casino told the Statesman Journal.
"If you hit a wall, it'll bunk you. It does everything that you would normally do on a race track."
Winners Circle members will be able to get behind the wheel of the famous car simulator free of charge in order to race their fellow casino goers and win some prizes.
The top 20 quickest racers can win prizes including Pepsi merchandise and petrol vouchers.
But the racer who spins round the laps the fastest will win a trip for two to Charlotte to see the All-Star Nascar race in May as well as a Pepsi jacket.
However, budding racers will have to be quick off the mark, as the competition will close this weekend.
