Kerzner International release their Q.2 financial results
Kerzner International Ltd have announced their financial results so far this year- and have enjoyed a 22% rise in adjusted net income, and 11% rise in net income per share figures when compared to the same period last year. The company which owns Atlantis, the casino-hotel resort in the Caribbean, believes it is the particularly strong performance of this venue which has driven the good results.
Net income this year in quarter two of this year was US$30.1 million, compared to US$22.8 million in quarter two last year. The adjusted net income was US$29.7 million compared to US$24.3 million, and the adjusted net income share price rose to 92 cents from 83 cents in 2003.
A company that now only operates land-based casinos, having abandoned their online venture Kerzner Interactive Limited early in 2003, the company is currently looking at several new territories to expand their business even further. Plans are developing for the construction of three venues in the UK- in London, Manchester and Glasgow. The Atlantis site in Dubai was recently expanded to 2000 rooms (from 1000) and is now going to take over the management and development of a new casino in Morrocco.
