'Biggest Midwest casino' will be on a boat
The largest casino in the Midwest of the US is likely to be situated on a boat, it has been revealed.
Horseshoe Casino, which is to replace another vessel by the same name on Lake Michigan, will have in excess of 3,000 slot machines and 100 gambling tables, the Southtown Star reports.
Casino spokesman Rick Mazer told the local newspaper: "Horseshoe Casino will be a destination like no other, where world-class gambling and top-name entertainment will combine to create an unprecedented experience."
Plans for the venue also include a vast poker room, which with 34 tables will be looking to host major card playing tournaments in the future.
By comparison, the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas - which hosts the annual World Series of Poker event - has 20 fewer gaming tables and 2,000 fewer slots.
The new Horseshoe Casino will be located less than a mile away from the old resort.
