CrytoLogic Not Hurt By Dutch Vote
Turnkey provider CryptoLogic Limited has announced that it ‘will not be affected materially’ by a Dutch Parliamentary vote last week quashing plans for an online site operated by state monopoly Holland Casino.
Holland Casino had been working on a revamp with CryptoLogic and signed a licensing deal last year with the Netherlands' Government-licensed casino operator that was subject to ratification. The Dublin-based software developer stated that while it had hoped to benefit from the establishment of such a site, it had been fully compensated for its development work and has other revenue-generation initiatives underway in both Europe and Asia.
'While advocates of safe, secure and regulated e-gaming are disappointed with the Dutch decision, CryptoLogic never places all its bets on one table,' said Brian Hadfield, President and Chief Executive Officer for CrytoLogic.
'We recognised the challenge in Holland early and prepared our business by accelerating other revenue-generating initiatives.'
