PokerStars Sunday Millions Returns

Online casino PokerStars.com announced that the $200 buy-in version of its Sunday Million competition returned this week to be won by online player ‘Vaga_Lion’.

The event’s $1,536,000 million prize pool attracted 7,680 entrants, the most it has seen under the $200 buy-in format since the beginning of March, with the top finisher having the opportunity to win almost $217,000 if the pool remained unchopped. The Isle of Man-based site stated that last week’s $1,000 buy-in event raised a prize pool of $1,869,000.

However, in the end the prize pool was chopped between the two top players, ‘Vaga_Lion’ and ‘V00D00CHILE’, and each were guaranteed $147,816. Under PokerStars.com chopping rules, $30,000 had to remain on the table for the eventual winner and ‘Vaga_Lion’ eventually took down the final pot to put the player’s total winnings at $177,816.

Online player ‘princessl111’ finished in third place to take home $76,800 while $61,440 went to fourth-placed ‘exceed_EXE’. Fifth-placed ‘billusnail’ walked away with $46,080 followed by ‘johne147’ with $33,792, ‘garsn’ with $23,808, ‘Fjusse’ with $13,824 and ‘jkcva’ with a very respectable $9,062.
