Williams 'would love to go to Las Vegas'
Professional snooker player Mark Williams has spoken of his desire to one day gamble in the casinos of Las Vegas.
The poker fan told BBC Sport a holiday in the Nevada city would be a "trip of a lifetime" and referred to it as his "Mecca".
Williams was all set to go to the gaming destination to watch his friend Joe Calzaghe take on Bernard Hopkins at the Thomas & Mack Centre on Saturday, but he realised he would not be able to go because the bout clashes with the opening day of the World Snooker Championships in Sheffield.
"I won't repeat what I said when I realised, let's just say I was gutted," he remarked.
Williams has taken part in several poker tournaments over the last few years, including the Welsh Masters, although he has yet to replicate the degree of success enjoyed by fellow snooker player Jimmy White.
The Whirlwind won the Poker Million event in 2003.
