Internet gambling 'is secure'
A leading internet gaming industry expert has spoken out about the security of online gambling.
Brian Wright of the Remote Gambling Association said that people do not need to be worried about the safety of their details when placing wagers online and implied that it is just as safe as other mediums such as going into a betting shop or using a phone.
"There are no security problems that people choosing to gamble online need to be concerned about," he commented.
Mr Wright added that people are now more aware of how secure gambling websites can be and that few of the worries they initially had when internet gaming first started to take off remain.
He also said that the internet, which is the most popular of all remote gambling portals, "is a growing market" and mentioned how punters are attracted by the ease and "comfort" of betting at home.
