Over 700 ways to bet on the Super Bowl at Sportsbook.com

February 1, 2005 (London, UK) - Will New England beat the Philadelphia Eagles and win a second straight Super Bowl – their third in four seasons?

Who cares? The real question is can they cover the 7 ½ point spread? Although New England is the hands-down favorite to win, sportsbook.com has hundreds of props bets to make for an exciting Super Bowl Sunday.

Props like “Who’ll score the first touchdown?” are among the most popular wagers on the internet. Right now Corey Dillon (Patriots) is the favorite at 11-2 and Tom Brady (Patriots) is a long shot at 35–1.

“We get a lot of new bettors getting in on the Super Bowl action,” says Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director for Sportingbet PLC, Americas Region. “For them, even putting a couple of dollars on the coin toss adds to the excitement of the game.” With hundreds of Super Bowl props, sportsbook.com even has multiple ways to bet the toss: Patriots or Eagles win; or heads or tails (it’s been tails five of the last six Super Bowls).

People that are into soccer or hoops play Sportsbook.com’s cross-sports parlays. “Will the Patriots have more points scored than Italy or Ireland? Hell ya!” laughs Czajkowski.

“My long shot pick for the Super Bowl,” says Czajkowski. “…is Christian Fauria 30-1 to score the first TD”.

In-running wagering will also be available during this year’s Super Bowl, allowing fans to place additional bets during the game.
